Pasquotank-Camden
Special Needs Program

Special Needs Individual are those with health or medical conditions who meet the criteria for assistance during an evacuation.  The special needs shelter is for those individuals who are not in a care facility such as a hospital, nursing home, or assisted living facility.

The Pasquotank-Camden Special Needs Program is voluntary for individuals with health or medical conditions who have NO alternative other than a public shelter.  Emergency Management recommends this program only as a "last resort" and individuals with special needs should consider sheltering with relatives or friends or evacuating outside of the area.  Individuals electing to use the Special Needs shelter are required to bring their own caregiver, medicine, and medical supplies.

By registering for Special Needs, I hereby consent for the employees of Pasquotank-Camden Emergency Management, Central Communications and Albemarle Regional Health to have access to my information contained in this registry and disclose it as allowed or required by North Carolina or Federal Law.

EMERGENCY HEALTH PROFILE

911 relies on your ability to clearly articulate critical information such as pre-existing health information in an emergency. Together with public safety and organizations certified as RapidSOS Ready, RapidSOS has created the world’s first emergency response data platform that securely links life-saving data from connected devices or profiles to 911 and first responders in an emergency.

Now individuals can be RapidSOS Ready by creating an Emergency Health Profile, providing first responders with the critical information they need to care for you in a medical emergency. During these uncertain times, taking this important step can help provide the peace of mind of knowing that in an emergency you and your loved ones have the most effective response possible.

Create your free Emergency Health Profile to send life-saving information to 911 and first responders in an emergency.
